Longines Watch History.
1832 : Longines Watch Company founded by Auguste Agassiz. Agassiz opened a workshop in St Imier, Switzerland.
Around 1860, Agassiz handed over the operation of the watchmaking business to his nephew Ernest Francillon.
Francillon built a factory in Les Longines near St. Imier. The Longines name was born.
